Ambassadors of Cute- Sacramento SPCA

The Sacramento Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (Sacramento SPCA) was established 1894 and is dedicated to ensuring the humane treatment of animals in the Sacramento area. They provide a safe and nurturing environment for unwanted, abandoned and mistreated pets until they can be placed into loving homes. It is the mission of the Sacramento SPCA to foster a loving and compassionate community for animals and people by providing assistance, creating lifelong relationships and saving lives. The Sacramento SPCA is an open admission animal shelter, which means they accept animals that are surrendered to them regardless of health, age, breed or behavior. Open admission shelters play an essential role in providing care to the thousands of animals that would otherwise have no safe refuge. 

 

This organization is especially close to our hearts here at Graphics and More because of our Chief Morale Officer.

 

Bruce the cat was taken in by the Sacramento SPCA as an adult cat. Although we can never know for sure what his story was before the fine folks at the SPCA picked him up, given what we know of him now, we like to imagine what he might have been in his previous life: a tough alley cat, a grade-A mouser, or perhaps a professional massage therapist (he has the paws for it). Whatever his background may have been, after a month of hanging out with the SPCA, it was time for him to turn over a new leaf and settle down with the colorful folks here at Graphics and More.

 

Bruce quickly established his place in our hearts and, more importantly, in our laps. Delivering purrs and kisses to all the hardworking Graphics and More staffers, he keeps us motivated even on the busiest days. His feline antics, on the other hand - like opening doors all by himself - remind us not to take ourselves too seriously.

 

Bruce's favorite things are black pants and chin rubs. He tells us that he holds a Meowster's Degree in Relaxation with an emphasis in Napping. He also claims to be an expert lizard hunter and champion street fighter. As far as the Graphics and More team is concerned, the consensus is that he's something like a particularly loveable CEO - or, as we've affectionately titled him, our one and only CMO, Chief Morale Officer.
