Bruce's Blog: Blankets and towels

Blankets and towels are magical portals, capable of transporting you to an entirely new dimension. Seriously, there’s a whole other world underneath them! It’s a dark and mystifying place, but it’s also soft and snug. There’s no way that you can resist stealing a nap while you’re under one.

I’ve heard that humans sometimes mistakenly use towels for drying off from a shower, or blankets for something called a “pick Nick.” (Don’t ask me who Nick is, or what he’s being picked for. Humans.) However, we cats know that their primary function is to provide a nice shaded cave for napping. My chair in the office has a pink towel draped over it, and anytime I get the urge, I just crawl under it and take a nap. Or two.

Don’t ask me to choose a favorite between the two. After all, the characteristics that they share are the most important ones: coziness, comfort, and cat-friendliness.
