Bruce's Blog: Thank You to our Veterans

As you know, next month is Veterans Day (in Canada, it’s Remembrance Day, which always looks like it’s misspelled—in fact, so does “misspelled”). I like this holiday because it’s like Thanksgiving without the next-day tummy-ache: We thank the people who gave their heart and lots of times their lives to defend our country, our rights and our future.
I like it when I read how our soldiers liberated a village and sometimes adopted their stray cats. Since I’m a rescue cat myself, thanks to the kids here at Graphics and More, you can imagine how emotional I get about these stories. —OK, I’m a cat. I don’t get that emotional. But I throw an extra variation into my meowing that day (I’m up to 17 different purrs, squeaks and hisses. Three more and I’m offering my services to the Berlitz people.)
