Bruce's Blog: What I Wish I Could Teach Humans

The humans try their best at understanding me, but no matter how hard they strive, their many varied attempts are fruitless. If only I could get them to understand me, because there are so many things that I wish I could teach them. For starters, I would tell them to stop meowing at me. They have no idea what they’re even saying! They could be saying something offensive, and they wouldn’t know the difference.

Another thing I wish I could teach them, is to pet me ONLY when I approach you. I love attention just as much as the next cat, but I also love space. In addition, when I approach you, you have my entire blessing to rub my belly.

There are, of course, too many things that humans need to learn about us cats. They’re not as psychologically advanced as us, I’m afraid, nor do I think they ever will be.
